Jagajit is a Registered Social Worker and Trained Counsellor. She has been working in the Family Service Setting for more than 10 years. She holds a Master in Social Work and a Master in Counselling. She is a trained Family Violence Counsellor. She works with dysfunctional families and is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotional Focus Therapy(EFT) and Gottman Couple Therapy. She has a vast experience in working with relationship issues, marital counselling, interpersonal issues and substance abuse counselling. She has also jointly co-facilitated family workshops when working with families whose child has addiction.
Jagajit is also a facilitator and trainer working with people with issues from all walks of life. She also does freelance lecturing, teaching the counselling modules in Singapore and Malaysia. She has also facilitated several workshops on Enhanced Parenting, working with Probationers, an initiative by Ministry of Social and Family Services, Singapore. She has conducted many talks, workshop and group work on parenting and life-skills.
Jagajit, as part of her professional development has attended courses and conferences in Hyderabad, India, Panama and the United States of America. She also played an extensive role in the research on understanding the psychosocial challenges of the Indian single mothers and their targeted interventions.
