On October 5th, in conjunction with the soon upcoming World Mental Health Day, the grand opening of “The Mind Hub”, a center for mental health services, took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Hosted by the Malaysian Mental Health Association, the launch was attended by numerous prominent figures in the field of mental health. Among the invitees was CEO & Clinical Director of Solace Asia, Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam supporting the event.
Known as a co-occurring disorder, is when both a mental health issue and a substance abuse problem manifest in the life of an individual, each with its unique symptoms, which cannot be treated without a professional individualized treatment approach;that’s what our organization and experts in Solace passionately do, offering qualified support to those in need, hence the importance of me being here today in support of the launch, said Dr. Prem Kumar Shanmugam.
Solace Asia and the Malaysian Mental Health Association work hand in hand and share the same philosophy and vision for the promotion and awareness of mental well being in our communities;I am honored to share this important moment with my fellow colleagues and be apart of this significant event, he continued.
